Beginning My Production Process

After completing the basic songwriting process, it's time to pass my song over to a producer and also produce a song pitched by another songwriter. I've decided to produce a song by one of my course mates, Grace. While admittedly her song is pretty short and maybe even incomplete, it definitely has lots of potential. This essentially means that I have lots of space to edit and make some changes to the song.
Topliner: Grace

Grace has shown me the basic melody of her song. Although I will make certain changes to the song such as extending the intro and verse, it still gives me a rough idea of what the song is about. And good news for me, Grace is also willing to write the lyrics. So in summary:
Topliner:
- Melody: Grace
- Lyrics: Grace
Producer: Myself

Now since Grace's song has lots of room for modifications, it gives me more freedom to edit the song while maintaining the simplicity and the light and happy vibe of the song.
Producing:
- Vocalist: To be decided.
- Musicians: I might be adding guitar parts to the song myself.
- Editing, repairing and sound design: Myself.
The Editing Process So Far
My main focus right now is to stretch out the song. The tempo for this song is definitely not slow at all. Because of that, I have to extend most parts of the song. I'll do a brief run through of what I'm doing.
Intro:
For the intro, I've decided to extend it by four measures and also place the same chord progression as the verse rather than sticking to the tonic chord until the verse comes in. I've also added synth strings for all the eight bars and a string ensemble for the last four bars.
Verse:
I've made an extension to the verse by adding another eight bars. I've also changed the synth bass to Taureg Moon Bass and added another Transistor Radio Piano that plays the chords. From the ninth bar onwards, I've added a synth string to enrich the rhythm even more.

Chorus:
I have extended the chorus to eight measures and did some editing to the MIDI blocks for certain tracks especially for the Liverpool Bass where I found out that chords were being played instead of single notes which may be too much for my liking. I've also added another chord progression for the third and fourth measure (D, Bm, G).
Second Verse, Second Chorus, Bridge and Outro:
For the second verse, I did not make a huge change besides having another Transistor Radio Piano playing chords to enhance the rhythm and also fixing the 'bass playing chords problem'. The second chorus is pretty much the same as the first one but just like the original form of the song, there is a really short transitional period to the bridge which I've maintain. I have also extended the bridge from three measures to eight measures and added a chord progression (G, Bm, A). I've also decided to shift the D major arpeggio played by the acoustic guitar and the harp from the intro to the outro.
So that's all from me at moment. I would gladly appreciate it if you could provide me with any form of suggestions and feedback. My sincere thanks for your attention, have a great day.

You're doing what needs to be done, but the form of the song was supposed to be completed by Grace.
